A home invader was apparently caught in the act Sunday.
Denton officers were dispatched to a report of a burglary in progress at a home in the 2900 block of Weston Drive. The caller stated that he arrived home and found a woman he did not know inside his house.
The suspect was told to leave but refused, and instead went into a back bedroom. Officers arrived and found the woman still inside the residence.
She was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass of a habitation.
1200 block of Cleveland Street — Denton officers were dispatched to a residence in response to an assault Sunday.
A woman reported that she had been hit in the face by her roommate following a verbal argument between the two.
800 block of West Eagle Drive — Officers were dispatched to an alleged assault at a local club.
Witnesses said that a person had been struck in the head with a blunt object and was taken by friend to a hospital.
The suspect had left the scene by the time officers arrived.
