Lewisville police are investigating reports that multiple shots were fired over the weekend during a dispute near an apartment complex.

Several reports were made about 1 a.m. Saturday about shots being fired in the 200 block of East Southwest Parkway. Police officers arriving on the scene saw two men in a remote area near the complex, officials said.

During the investigation, officers learned there was a conflict between two groups of people at the apartment, apparently leading to the gunshots.

An 18-year-old Lewisville man was found in possession of a handgun and charged with unlawfully carrying of a weapon. He was taken to the Lewisville City Jail. Additional charges have not been ruled out, police said.
