Blotter: Woman’s glasses broken during assault

A woman needed a new pair of glasses Tuesday after she was involved in a domestic disturbance in the 2000 block of Teasley Lane, Denton police said.

Police responded to an apartment complex at 6:51 a.m. after the domestic disturbance was reported. The woman told officers that the father of her child assaulted her and broke her glasses when he showed up at her apartment.

Police said the 26-year-old man was taken to jail and now faces an assault charge.

1100 block of Laguna Drive — Police were called out to a Denton home Tuesday when a mother called to report she had found a pipe in her son’s room.

An investigation is underway.

800 block of East Sherman Drive — A white Dodge Durango was impounded late Tuesday after police stopped the vehicle and found that the registration had been altered, according to a police report.

The 25-year-old man driving the vehicle was arrested and charged with displaying wrong, fictitious, altered or obscured registration in addition to failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to display a driver’s license.

Aubrey firefighters responded to eight medical calls, one water main break and one structure fire. Aubrey police assisted three agencies and responded to one harassment call, one suspicious activity call, one theft, three traffic calls, one traffic complaint, one welfare concern and one animal complaint.

Bartonville police responded to four traffic calls and assisted one motorist.

Corinth police assisted three agencies and three motorists and responded to one criminal trespass call, two criminal mischief calls, one forgery/fraud call, one missing person report, three ordinance violations, two reckless drivers, one noise complaint, one medical call, 43 traffic calls, one traffic complaint, seven animal complaints and one animal cruelty report.

Double Oak police responded to 32 traffic calls.

Flower Mound firefighters assisted one agency and responded to one structure fire.

Hickory Creek police responded to one noise complaint, two suspicious activity calls, 11 traffic calls, one traffic complaint and two animal complaints.

Justin firefighters responded to two medical calls and two traffic accidents. Justin police assisted one agency and responded to one reckless driver, four traffic calls, one welfare concern, one traffic accident and one animal bite report.

Krum firefighters assisted one citizen and responded to two medical calls, one vehicle fire and one missing person. Krum police assisted one agency and responded to one missing person report, one noise complaint, one reckless boater, two suspicious activity calls, three traffic calls, one warrant investigation, one traffic accident and one animal complaint.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to four medical calls and responded to one structure fire.

Lewisville police made six arrests.

Little Elm firefighters responded to one structure fire, three traffic accidents and one water main break. Little Elm police assisted two motorists and responded to one four assaults, one auto theft, one carbon monoxide or hazardous materials call, one Child Protective Services referral, one criminal mischief call, one criminal trespass call, three disturbance calls, two structure fires, one forgery report, one harassment call, two reckless drivers, five suspicious activity calls, three traffic calls, three welfare concerns, three traffic accidents and two animal complaints.

Oak Point firefighters responded to two medical calls. Oak Point police responded to two medical calls, seven ordinance violations, one suspicious activity call, one terroristic threat, one theft call, one traffic call and one welfare concern.

Ponder firefighters responded to one medical call. Ponder police assisted one motorist and responded to one medical call.

Pilot Point firefighters responded to one structure fire and two medical calls. Pilot Point police assisted two agencies and responded to one criminal mischief report, one disturbance call, one structure fire, one suspicious activity call, one theft call, two traffic calls and one welfare concern.

Roanoke firefighters responded to one medical call.

Sanger firefighters responded to three medical calls. Sanger police assisted one agency and responded to one traffic call, three disturbance calls, one suspicious activity report, one welfare concern and three animal complaints.

Trophy Club firefighters responded to three medical calls. Trophy Club police responded to four burglaries, two ordinance violations, two traffic calls, four animal complaints and one suspicious activity call and assisted one motorist.
