Blotter: Driver reports robbery by armed men in red SUV

A 28-year-old man driving down Lakeview Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon was pulled over and robbed at gunpoint, Denton police said.

Officer Ryan Grelle, spokesman for Denton police, said the man was convinced to pull over by two men driving a small, red SUV. An undetermined amount of cash was taken, Grelle said.

No injuries were reported and the suspects have not been caught, police said.

1100 block of Mission Lane — A woman alleged that someone took $500 from her Bible while they were cleaning her home Wednesday afternoon, Denton County Sheriff’s Office officials said. A theft report was made.

200 block of Sharon Rose Court — Someone took two greeting cards containing personal checks from a residential mailbox recently, altered one of the checks and then attempted to cash it at a local bank, according to a Denton police report.

No charges have been filed.
