Blotter: Man gets spitting mad after landing in jail

Denton police encountered some disorderly conduct during an arrest Sunday evening after officers were dispatched to a home in the 2800 block of Barnes Drive in reference to a disturbance, a report states.

Upon arrival, the officers found the suspect was in the caller’s front yard and refused to leave. The suspect then tried to run into the house and was forced to the ground by officers and arrested, a report states.

The suspect added to the charges against him after he was transported to the Denton jail and spat in the face of one of the jail staff members, the report said.

2700 block of West University Drive — Denton officers were dispatched to a shoplifter call at a retail store.

The caller, a loss-prevention officer, said that she had detained two subjects for theft.

Officers arrived at the location and determined that a theft had occurred, and placed both of the suspects under arrest.

300 block of Coronado Drive — Denton officers were dispatched to a report of a domestic disturbance where a man told them he had been attacked by a woman.

After investigating, officers placed the women under arrest.

2200 block of Lookout Lane — Denton officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance call. The caller told police that a man had knocked on his door and asked him to call 911 because his wife had tried to run over him with her car.
