The Upper Trinity Regional Water District has been recognized nationally for the operations of its three sewer treatment plants.

The National Association of Clean Water Agencies cited all three of the plants for five consecutive years of full compliance with all state and federal rules and regulations.

The “Platinum Award” went to the Lakeview Plant in Lake Dallas, which has been in full compliance for 15 consecutive years; the Peninsula Plant in Oak Point, in full compliance for 10 years; and the Riverbend Plant in Paloma Creek, compliant for six years.

The awards will be presented to the district when the association, a national organization involved in many facets of protecting water quality, holds its annual meeting in Portland, Oregon, next month.
