Flooding in Lewisville affecting A-train service

Flooding in Lewisville is causing some slight changes to A-train rail service for the Denton County Transportation Authority.

Due to a section of the track located between the Hebron and Old Town Lewisville stations being affected by flooding waters, DCTA is busing passengers between Hebron and Old Town for the remainder of the evening.

“The water is washing out some of the ballast under the track,” said Kristina Brevard, vice president of marketing and communications.

“Overnight we will have our maintenance come and fix the track. To do that we have to wait for flooding water to recede,” she said. “We ask that passengers allow extra time for travel  as we try to mitigate the issue with service.”
