Blotter: Man reports car burglary outside movie theater

Police said they responded to the parking lot of a movie theater located in the 900 block of West University Drive on Tuesday in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle.

An unknown person had entered the victim’s vehicle and stole the stereo, damaging the dash and ignition in the process, according to reports.

An investigation is underway.

3500 block of Interstate 35E — Around 8 p.m. Monday, police said they responded to a local hospital about a stabbing victim.

A 41-year-old man said he was stabbed in his left forearm while stopped at a red light, according to reports. Police said it was a domestic call and the report has been assigned to a detective.

2400 block of Fondren Road — A community swimming pool was reported as having an estimated $3,000 in damages Monday, according to police. Included in the damages — referred to as criminal mischief — were six chairs and a table, reports show. An offense report was completed.

Corinth police assisted two agencies and two motorists and responded to one burglary, one Child Protective Services referral, one electrical fire, one grass fire, one gunshots heard, one suspicious activity call, 16 traffic calls, three traffic complaints, one welfare concern, one traffic transport incident, one animal bite report, one animal complaint and one animal cruelty report.

Double Oak police responded to eight traffic calls.

Flower Mound firefighters assisted one agency and responded to one carbon monoxide or hazardous materials report.

Hickory Creek police assisted two agencies, one motorist and responded to one disturbance call, one theft, four traffic calls, one traffic complaint and one traffic accident.

Justin firefighters responded to two medical calls and one vehicle fire. Justin police responded to one vehicle fire, two traffic calls, one traffic complaint and one welfare concern.

Krum firefighters assisted one citizen and responded to one auto theft, two traffic calls, one animal complaint and one welfare concern.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to two electrical fires, one grass fire, three medical calls and one traffic accident.

Little Elm firefighters assisted one citizen and responded to two medical calls and two fire calls. Little Elm police assisted one agency and responded to three burglary calls, one Child Protective Services referral, one structure fire, three criminal mischief calls, one noise complaint, one ordinance violation, two reckless boaters or drivers, two suspicious activity calls, one theft call, 15 traffic calls and one welfare concern.
