An accident Friday left at least four people hospitalized, according to law enforcement officials.
Aubrey police Sgt. David Bruce said two children and two adults were taken to area hospitals by air ambulance Friday afternoon after two passenger vehicles collided near the 1800 block of Sherman Drive, about a mile east of Blackjack Road.
“The accident remains under investigation, but it appears to be head-on or near head-on,” Bruce said.
Two children and one adult were transported from one vehicle and one adult was transported from another, he said. Bruce was unsure about the condition of the fifth person involved, but said all five were injured in some way during the lunchtime accident. One person, he said, had to be extricated.
“I don’t know any of the medical conditions right now, but with an air helicopter involved, it’s usually pretty serious,” he said.
Further information wasn’t available at press time.
