Blotter: Man tells police another man struck him

A man told Denton police that when he dropped his daughter off in the 3000 block of Union Lake Road on Sunday for a custody exchange, that his ex-wife’s husband allegedly struck him on the back of the head and hit his car window.

The complainant said he did not feel pain from the blow but wanted to file a report because the other man put his hands on him in a threatening manner, police reports state.

When an officer spoke with the other man, he denied getting into a physical altercation, but he did say he followed the complainant to his car while trying to talk to him, reports state.

3909 block of South Interstate 35E — Denton police officers stopped a woman for traffic violations and arrested her on charges of resisting a search and driving while intoxicated, police reports state.

700 block of Dallas Drive — During a traffic stop of a vehicle, the passenger in the back seat was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and placed under arrest, police reports state.

Denton County sheriff’s dispatchers handled 2,059 service and officer-initiated calls for the agencies they serve, and 113 people were booked into Denton County Jail.

Denton firefighters assisted three invalids and responded to 61 medical calls, six vehicle accidents with injuries, a motor vehicle accident with no injuries, a motor vehicle/pedestrian accident, three unintentional alarms, four police matters, an authorized controlled burn, a good-intent call and four public service calls.
