A young couple told police they were robbed at gunpoint at their apartment complex Wednesday night.
According to Denton police, the boyfriend and girlfriend were robbed of three pairs of Air Jordans, a computer and a video game console at their apartment in the 1200 block of Cleveland Street on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old man reported to police that he opened his door after 9 p.m. to two unknown men. They charged into his apartment, he said, while pushing him down.
The assailants held the man and his 21-year-old girlfriend at gunpoint until they finished the robbery.
No arrests have been made, according to police reports.
6400 block of Interstate 35 — A 40-year-old man from Springfield, Missouri, reported to Denton police that he was a victim of an attempted carjacking at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The man told police he pulled off the highway and that someone pulled a knife on him and caused some injuries in an attempt to steal his vehicle. Police said the man’s door was pushed open and he was knocked to the ground.
The victim got away, according to reports, but did not see which direction the assailant went.

Denton County sheriff’s dispatchers handled 730 service and officer-initiated calls for the agencies they serve. Thirty-four people were booked into Denton County Jail.
Denton police handled 274 service and officer-initiated calls and posted 26 reports online.
Denton firefighters responded to 19 medical calls and one vehicle accident and assisted one agency.
