Denton police arrested a 31-year old woman for allegedly submitting a phony prescription that her boyfriend later tried to pick up, according to a police report.

According to the police report, the woman entered Brookshire’s Pharmacy in the 700 block of South Interstate 35E and dropped off a copy of an old prescription. Later, her boyfriend tried to pick up the medicine but left empty-handed, according to the report.

Officers responded after store hours. But a few phone calls had the accused woman appearing back at the store, where she was arrested on a prescription fraud charge.
