New city manager Todd Hileman listens in during a recent city council meeting at City Hall

Denton's new city manager Todd Hileman has reorganized departments at City Hall, according to a press release issued by the city.

Retiring Assistant City Manager Howard Martin will not be replaced. Two other assistant city managers will oversee daily operations in a new way: Jon Fortune will supervise capital projects and Bryan Langley will supervise administrative departments. The police and fire chiefs will answer directly to Hileman, as will the department heads of Denton Municipal Electric, development services and community affairs. John Cabrales will return to his role heading community affairs.
