Moon magic

A full moon is shown over Denton, looking west from the corner of West Oak and North Elm streets, just before the beginning of a lunar eclipse Wednesday morning. The steeple of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church can be seen in the foreground. Not only was it a full moon but a supermoon and a blue moon as well. A supermoon occurs when the moon is particularly close to Earth, while a blue moon is the second full moon of the month. The lunar trifecta was the first since 1982 and won't happen again until 2037.
