A boy was surprised to find a man in his bedroom early Saturday morning, according to a Denton police report.

The boy told police he asked the man what he was doing in his room and the man dropped to the floor.

An officer walked to the back bedroom of the house in the 1300 block of Neff Street and reported finding the boy’s father, who owns the house, and the man, who was intoxicated.

The officer asked the man why he was in the house and the man said he was picking someone up then changed his mind and said he was dropping someone off.

The man later told police he thought he was in another city.

The father told police he found the man lying on the floor of his son’s room and noticed he’d moved a bike from the room to the hallway. The man was also moving clothes around, the father reported.

He stayed with the man while his wife called police, according to the report.

The man was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing of a habitation.
