Blotter: Man angry with ex-wife, crashes into house

A woman was airlifted to a Plano hospital Friday morning after she was hit by a truck that ran into her house.

Police responded to the home in the 5800 block of Interstate 35 and reported that the woman’s ex-husband was angry with her and drove the truck into the house. She was hit by the truck, police reported.

The man was taken to a Denton hospital, where he was treated and released into police custody. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.


Other reports

700 block of West Congress Street — A school resource officer at a middle school was contacted Friday to assist a staff member over an alleged assault. According to reports, the officer responded to the classroom and learned the suspect had kicked one of the teacher’s aides, a 29-year-old female, while she was attempting to restrain him from hurting himself or others.  No arrests were made, according to police reports.

Forty-Four people were booked into the Denton County Jail.

From Sunday, Jan. 13 to Saturday:

Texas Woman’s University Police Department responded to 127 service calls, made five reports, nine escorts, 79 parking violations, 39 moving violations and made two arrests.

From Sunday, Jan. 13 to Wednesday:

University of North Texas Police Department responded to four property reports, responded to two K-9 calls, two burglary of a vehicle calls, one medical emergency, one criminal trespass arrest, three outside agency warrant arrests, one vehicle struck call, one driving while license invalid call, one criminal mischief call, one assault by contact call, one burglary of habitation call, one theft call, one welfare concern, one graffiti call and one solicitation call.
