Blotter: Victim arrested after reporting person with gun

Someone pointed a gun at two people after an altercation, the victims told sheriff’s deputies Monday.

Deputies responded to the call shortly after 5 p.m. in the 10000 block of U.S. Highway 380.

Sandi Brackeen, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, said the case is currently under investigation and additional information can not be released at this time.

One of the victims, Brackeen said, was arrested on an unrelated charge.

4900 block of Stuart Road — Deputies charged a Denton man with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon Tuesday morning after someone reported being chased by a man with a knife.

10500 block of Jim Christal Road — Deputies responded to a burglary of habitation call Tuesday morning. According to reports, someone broke into a vacant rent house. The owner reported copper wiring was taken from numerous places.

500 block of West Hickory Street — An officer manager of a real estate company reported to Denton police someone broke into her office, according to reports. The victim reported three laptop computers were missing Tuesday morning.



From 7 a.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday:

Denton County sheriff’s dispatchers handled 629 service and officer-initiated calls for the agencies they serve. Forty-four people were booked into Denton County Jail.

Denton police handled 228 service and officer-initiated calls and posted 26 reports online.

Denton firefighters responded to 22 medical calls, one system malfunction, one electrical wiring problem, four vehicle accidents including two with injuries, and two service calls.

Argyle police assisted one agency and responded to 18 traffic calls.

Aubrey firefighters responded to five medical calls and one traffic transport incident. Aubrey police responded to one criminal trespass report, one missing person and one suspicious vehicle.

Bartonville police responded to three traffic calls and one animal complaint.

Double Oak police department responded to one traffic call.

Hickory Creek police assisted one agency and responded to one gun shots heard, one reckless driver, 17 traffic calls, one traffic transport incident, one medical call and one alarm fire.

Justin firefighters responded to one odor investigation. Justin police assisted one agency and responded to one child abuse call, one theft report and one traffic transport incident.

Krum firefighters assisted one citizen and responded to two medical calls. Krum police officers responded to one medical call, one odor investigation, one animal complaint and two traffic calls.

Krugerville police responded to one animal complaint and five traffic calls.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to one alarm fire, one unknown fire and four medical calls.

Little Elm firefighters responded to three medical calls and one traffic transport incident. Little Elm police responded to two assaults, three Child Protective Services referrals, two disturbance calls, one gunshots heard, one harassment report, one reckless driver, one theft report, two suspicious activity calls, 12 traffic calls, two traffic transport incidents and assisted one motorist.

Lewisville police made 12 arrests.

Oak Point firefighters responded to one medical call. Oak Point police responded to one suspicious activity call and three traffic calls.

Ponder police responded to two medical calls.

Pilot Point firefighters responded to two medical calls and unlocked one vehicle. Pilot Point police assisted one agency and responded to one auto theft report, one disturbance call, one traffic call and two animal complaints.

Sanger firefighters responded to one assault/sexual assault, one illegal burn and four medical calls.

The Colony firefighters responded to two medical calls and one smoke detector activation. The Colony police assisted one agency.

Trophy Club police responded to one noise complaint, one road block, two suspicious vehicles, five traffic calls, one welfare concern and seven animal complaints.
