Blotter: Officer uses caution after pulling over vehicle

On Saturday, a Denton police officer was advised that a motorist he had pulled over for a warrant violation was also involved in a person with a gun call earlier that day. The advice resulted in the officer using extreme caution as he approached the vehicle.

According to a police report, the officer stopped the vehicle near Campbell Lane and Paisley Street. As the officer approached the vehicle, he noticed the driver reaching underneath the seat and looking in his side-view mirror back at the officer, according to the report.

The officer found marijuana on the driver and arrested him. The driver was charged with possession of marijuana that was less than two ounces, according to the police report.
