Blotter: Man tells police he was shoved to the ground

A 67-year-old man wanted to press charges after he told police he was injured by another man, Denton police said.

At 9:30 p.m. Friday, a Corinth man told police he was shoved to the ground and was in pain from an assault in the 1600 block of East McKinney Street.

According to police reports, the person who allegedly assaulted the 67-year-old fled in a silver Ford coupe.

2100 block of Bolivar Street — Late Friday night, a 22-year-old woman told police that someone took her medicine from her purse, according to police reports.

The woman, police reported, said that one of three people at her home took her bottle of prescription medication Thursday night between 5 and 9 p.m.

3700 block of Calvert Lane — Friday afternoon, police responded to a fraud report from a 24-year-old woman. According to reports, the woman told police she was contacted by a collection agency, which alleged she owed money for a pay day loan. The woman told police she never took a loan out with the company and reported that someone used her information without consent.

*Sixty-three people were booked into Denton County Jail.

From Sunday, Oct. 13 to Saturday:

Texas Woman’s University police responded to 62 calls for service, made eight reports, seven escorts, 20 moving violations and two arrests.

From Sunday, Oct. 13 to Thursday:

University of North Texas police responded to four medical calls, one indecent exposure, issued one citation for driving while license was invalid, one graffiti call, issued one citation for disorderly conduct, responded to one theft of more than $50 and less than $500, one theft of more than $1,500 and less than $20,000, one reckless damage call, one possession of marijuana more than 2 ounces and less than 4, issued one municipal citation for disorderly conduct and assisted two agencies.
