Blotter: Caller says man in SUV pointed gun at him

A caller told police Saturday afternoon that a man in a sport utility vehicle pointed a gun at him and made a shooting motion in his direction in the 5800 block of Interstate 35, according to a police report.

The caller said the suspect’s SUV came up behind him on the highway and eventually pulled alongside with his vehicle. That’s when the suspect allegedly pulled out a black semi-automotive handgun and made a shooting motion, according to the report.

Officers later found the SUV and there was a black handgun in the vehicle, according to the report.

The driver of the SUV had a completely different story than that told by the complainant, the report stated.

According to the police report, further investigation may lead to an arrest.

3000 block of West University Drive — On Saturday night, officers were dispatched in response to an alleged robbery reported outside a local grocery store, according to a police report.

The caller told police that as he was walking away from the grocery store, he was approached by two suspects who allegedly struck him in the head with an unknown item, according to the police report.

The caller told police that the suspects took $50 from him and then ran toward Thunderbird Drive.

The case is still open, according to the police report.

900 block of Bernard Street — A man and his roommate returned to their apartment Saturday afternoon after being gone for Thanksgiving to find that their home had been trashed, according to a police report.

The men called police after discovering that their front door was open when they returned home. According to the police report, the only thing missing was a television.

The case is still open and pending investigation.
