Blotter: Woman reports break-in at parents’ home in Denton

A recent burglary victim believes she knows who broke into her parents house Friday.

Denton police were called to a home in the 1200 block of Bridges Street in response to the break-in. The caller said someone entered her parents’ house while they were out of town on vacation.

The woman told police she knew her parents’ television was missing, and after speaking to her father, learned that three handguns were missing as well. But the woman said she may know who the suspect is. An investigation is ongoing.

2800 block of Spencer Road — Denton police were dispatched to a residence in reference to a negligent discharge of a firearm that caused damage to the automatic fire sprinkler system inside the residence. The single bullet struck the piping to the system and flooded the entire unit.

2700 block of West University Drive — A caller reported that a TV was stolen from his work vehicle while at the store. Police found no signs of forced entry into the vehicle.
