Blotter: Police: Stories conflict in ‘drug deal gone badly’

No arrests were made Friday in what Denton police noted as a “drug deal gone badly.”

Police were called to the 9100 block of Teasley Lane after 7 p.m. Friday for a minor accident, according to police reports.

A truck had run into a few vehicles at a mobile home park, police said. The driver told police he was giving a ride to a friend whose name he could not remember. He said a red vehicle pulled up and a man got out and started punching him in the face.

Reports show the man told responding officers that he took off in his truck, lost control and ran into a parked vehicle.

During the investigation, witnesses told police a different story from the driver, police said.

According to reports, the driver of the truck was looked over for injuries by medics and refused any medical help.
