Blotter: Father of woman’s children allegedly vandalizes her car

A 23-year-old woman told police that the father of her children was vandalizing her car on Friday, according to police reports.

The woman said the man had come to her home that evening and began damaging her car in the 100 block of Duchess Drive.

She told police he had knocked out the back window of the car and scratched the passenger side.

By the time police arrived, the suspect had fled the scene. The case is pending, according to police reports.

400 block of Strata Drive — An 89-year-old man told police a worker at his home stole $60 Friday.

A man who was working on a fence asked to come inside the house to use the restroom, according to police reports. After he left, the homeowner said he realized $60 was missing from his wallet, and he called police.

2200 block of South Interstate 35E — Denton police said two young men were caught stealing in a department store Friday night. Officers detained the two and held them in the city juvenile holding area before releasing them to their mother.

University of North Texas police responded to two medical calls, one report of criminal mischief and one report of assault, issued two criminal trespass warnings and made two arrests on UNT Police Department warrants, two arrests on outside agency warrants, one arrest for public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia, one public intoxication arrest, one arrest for driving while license invalid and one driving while intoxicated arrest.
