Blotter: Stolen credit card used to purchase drones

An officer was dispatched to Best Buy in the 1800 block of South Loop 288 at about 10 p.m. Saturday in reference to a credit card abuse call. 

The victim told police that an unknown person had used his Visa card without permission and purchased two drones valued at $1,999.98. 

The total amount charged to the credit card was $2,164.98.

Rose and Paisley streets — At about 3 a.m. Saturday, police responded to an assault call near Rose and Paisley streets. 

A woman was at a party on Rose Street and told police that her foot had been run over by an old acquaintance. 

No arrests or charges were made.

From 6 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday, Denton police responded to 165 calls for service, made 11 arrests, and filed two felony charges and 17 misdemeanor charges.
