9 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- Denton Community Market at the Denton County Historical Park, on Mulberry Street near Carroll Boulevard.

Noon -- Sixth annual Spirit of a Hero Benefit Ride and Concert, honoring Cpl. Brian Aft. Ride begins at Earl's 377 Pizza in Argyle and ends at American Eagle Harley-Davidson in Corinth. $20 per bike, or $35 including barbecue lunch and two drinks. Visit

1 to 5 p.m. -- Denton County LOSS Team's second annual Music Fest and Art Auction at Dan's Silverleaf, 103 Industrial St. Music by Joe Pat Hennen, Chris Watson, Michelle Mayfield and Joe Weppelman, and Tiny Outside. With live and silent auctions of art by local artists, and a raffle. Admission is $10, or $20 for admission plus a T-shirt; free for children 12 and younger. 2 p.m. -- Dedication ceremony for the Aubrey Historical Society's Veterans Monument at 301 S. Main St. The monument honors armed service veterans past, present and future.

3 to 4:30 p.m. -- "I've Got -- or I'm Getting -- My DNA Report: Now What Do I Do?", a free genealogy class at Emily Fowler Central Library, 502 Oakland St. Patti Gillespie talks about choosing a company and test for your DNA report, and how to maximize the report results.
