4:30 to 5:30 p.m. -- Build It With Bricks at Emily Fowler Central Library, 502 Oakland St. Ages 5 and older can build with the library's Legos.

9:30 a.m. -- Decoding Medicare, a free workshop at Emily Fowler Central Library, 502 Oakland St. Workshop covers common Medicare issues, including enrollment, types of supplements, drug plans and types of Advantage Plans. 9 a.m. to noon -- City of Denton's Back to School Event at the Civic Center, 321 E. McKinney St. Backpacks and school supplies, vision screenings, games, a bounce house, books, raffles, food and more. Free immunizations for adults. First come, first served. Children must be present with an adult and have a valid ID. School supply donations can be dropped off at the Denton Police Department, Central Fire Station and Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center.
