9 a.m. to noon -- City of Denton's Back to School Event at the Civic Center, 321 E. McKinney St. Backpacks and school supplies, vision screenings, games, a bounce house, books, raffles, food and more. Free immunizations for adults. First come, first served. Children must be present with an adult and have a valid ID. School supply donations can be dropped off at the Denton Police Department, Central Fire Station and Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center.
