9:30 to 11:30 a.m. -- Finish It Fridays at North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St. Bring a craft project for this come-and-go program and visit with other crafters.

3:30 to 5 p.m. -- Level Up, board games and video games for ages 11-17, at North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St. Free.

5 to 7 p.m. -- Reception for "Crossroads," a tapestry art exhibit, at UNT on the Square, 109 N. Elm St. at UNT on the Square, 109 N. Elm St. Exhibit sponsored by the American Tapestry Alliance runs through Sept. 30. Call 940-369-8257 or visit

6 p.m. -- First Friday Denton at art venues and businesses around downtown Square. Events include featured jewelry artists and music by Darrin Kobetich at A Creative Art Studio, 227 W. Oak St., and free make-and-take jute planter craft at the DIME Store, 510 S. Locust St.

9 p.m. -- Night Geocaching at the Isle du Bois Unit of Ray Roberts Lake State Park, on FM455, 10 miles east of I-35. Learn to geocache at night with a ranger while learning about noctural wildlife. Meet at the Lost Pines Amphitheater. $7 entrance fee for ages 13 and older. Call 940-686-2148.

The Triangle Squares square dancing group meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Fridays of each month at Denton Senior Center, 509 N.
