Noon -- Community Tree of Remembrance for Veterans at Thanks-Giving Square, 1627 Pacific Ave. in downtown Dallas. The free service on Pearl Harbor Day is for all military veterans.

5:30 to 7:30 p.m. -- Denton County Historical Park's Holiday Open House, with the Bayless-Selby House Museum and the African-American Museum decorated for the season at 317 W. Mulberry St. Light refreshments will be served. Free.

7 p.m. -- "UNT Sounds of the Holidays" presents a festival of carols and choral classics by the University Singers, UNT Men's and Women's Choruses, A Cappella Choir and Concert Choir at Winspear Hall at the Murchison Performing Arts Center, 2100 S.
