11:30 a.m. -- Artist Inspiration Workshop, inspired by the work of mixed-media artist Mickalene Thomas, at SCRAP Denton, 420 S. Bell Ave. Presented by the Denton Black Film Festival and SCRAP Denton. Make a mixed-media piece using fabric, rhinestones and other reclaimed materials on canvas. Two-hour workshop taught by Amy Dierdorf. $5. For adults 18 and older.
