Start getting ready for the summer travel season during a passport fair from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 27, at the U.S. Post Office in Aubrey, 120 Stanley Drive.
No appointments are necessary. Postal employees will be ready to take your passport photo and help you complete your application for a $15 service fee.
Additional fees apply, including the passport application fee due to the U.S. Department of State. Applicants must bring proof of citizenship (a certified birth certificate, a previous passport or a naturalization or citizenship certificate) and an original and one photocopy of proof of identity, such as a driver's license.
If you complete and download the application online, do not sign it until directed by the postal official. All applicants must appear in person, including minors. Minors under the age of 14 must appear with both parents, or at least one parent with a notarized authorization from the other parent, in order to apply.
