City crews from the street and wastewater departments will begin reconstructing Bell Avenue through the Texas Woman's University campus Monday.
From University Drive to Texas Street, crews will first replace the sewer lines under the road. They will also repair damaged curbs and gutters and then rebuild the street itself.
Safety fences will prevent pedestrians from walking certain routes from time to time. In addition, the road will be closed to through traffic from now through July.
On Friday, the city released three maps of detour routes that will be used during different phases of the construction:
The job should be completed by July 29, weather permitting.
