Singing Oaks Church of Christ will host a "Walk4Water" walk at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 at South Lakes Park, 556 Hobson Lane.

The two-mile walk will help the local church raise $30,000 to dig wells in Tanzania and Haiti, countries where communities don't have universal access to clean water.

Register for the free event in person at the pavilion on the hill at South Lakes Park, beginning at 2 p.m. The walk begins at 3 p.m., and snacks and hot dogs will be available. Anyone who registers by Oct. 27 will get a free T-shirt. Registration can also be done online. Walkers and supporters can make a donation on the registration page.
