University of North Texas Dance and Theatre Arts opens its 2017-18 season with Lynn Nottage's Fabulation this weekend.

In Fabulation, Undine Barnes Calles returns to the poor childhood home in Brooklyn she swore off 14 years ago. Things were going well for Calles. She'd gotten a degree from Dartmouth and started a successful career. Her shiny new life is turned upside down when her husband is caught embezzling and the couple — who is expecting a baby — is bankrupt.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 12 -14, and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14-15. Performances are in the Studio Theatre at the Radio, TV, Film and Performing Arts Building, 1179 Union Circle.

Tickets cost $10 for the general public, $7.50 for students, UNT faculty and staff and senior citizens. For tickets, call 940-565-2428 or email dat-boxoffice@unt.edu.
