New alt venue to host daylong music festival

A new alternative Denton music venue will host a daylong music festival in December.

The Parker's Plantation, the new alternative venue at 8550 W. University, will host Chill'n-N-Denton Music Festival from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. 

The event has confirmed local rock acts Remain, Lovesick Mary, Puddin Taine and others. Anchored, a southern rock band out of Dallas, will play. Hip-hop superstar Snoop Dogg, who is featured on the Anchored hard rock party track "Throwin' Down,"  will take part in the event in a video. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $22 for VIP tickets and $35 for all-access tickets, which include an after party.  

Parker's Plantation a 15-acre spot on the west side of Denton that locals know from its main fall event, the Parker House Haunted Attraction.
