The Denton City Council and the Denton Housing Authority will meet jointly over lunch Monday at City Hall.
The housing authority was created by city leaders, but the two bodies have clashed in recent months over plans to increase affordable housing in the city.
Mayor Chris Watts suggested the joint meeting to help the two public bodies find broader agreement on appropriate housing deals for the city.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. in the council work room at City Hall, 215 E. McKinney St. The joint meeting will be live-streamed on the city's website.
