Learn more about the state's severe weather before it gets here.
The National Weather Service is holding SKYWARN, a free storm spotter class, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, in TWU Margo Jones Performance Hall, 305 Pioneer Circle.
The classes are organized for anyone interested in learning more about severe weather along with storm spotters. No registration is required.
The classes are part of an annual regional preparedness campaign that continues through March. Other classes can be found on the full schedule online.
