Update: An earlier version of this story included an incorrect ticket price for non-members. Non-members can get a ticket for $160 per person.

The Denton Benefit League brings its 45th annual charity ball back to Denton with "That's Amore," at 6:30 p.m. on March 24 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center, 3100 Town Center Trail.

The annual ball is the league's chief fundraiser, and the money raised is returned to Denton County through grants to nonprofit organizations.

The league has given more than $5.4 million in grants, and league members have donated more than a million hours in service.

The 45th anniversary ball will be set in Italy, and for the first time, patrons can bid on live and silent auction items using an app. Patrons can bid on three big-ticket items - a trip to New York City's Broadway, a cooking class trip to Tuscany, Italy and a dove hunting trip in Argentina.

Patrons will enjoy a seated Italian dinner - chicken piccata, Tuscan roasted vegetables, bread and salad or a vegetarian option -- in the ballroom or the sidewalk bistro and bar built just for the event. Dessert is a choice between tiramisu and cannoli.

The Walton Stout Band will perform during the event.

Tickets cost $160 each.
