The city publishes the latest scores two different ways: a monthly update on DTV and the full, cumulative compilation online.
Each food truck and restaurant is inspected at least twice a year and the inspectors are working every day. The results of their inspections are updated monthly and the cumulative compilation is re-published at the beginning of each month on cityofdenton.com (search “restaurant scores”).
Be sure to check the “date done” column to see when the last inspection was completed. And know this about inspection scores: any eatery that scores below 65 is closed by the inspector and must pass a new inspection before re-opening. If an eatery scores below 75, inspectors will be back two weeks later for a mandatory re-inspection. In either scenario, a re-inspection requires the eatery’s owner to pay a fee equal to one-half the yearly permit costs.
You can catch the latest inspection scores daily on DTV at 1 a.m., 6 a.m., 11 a.m., 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.
