Yes. The planning department at City Hall has been working on new "wayfinding" signs for some time. The new signs should help visitors, newcomers and old-timers alike find their way around the city.
While a construction crew prepares the footings and bases for the first round of signs to be installed, two samples are up on poles for the city planners to study.
One sample is near City Hall West, at the corner of McKinney and Elm streets. The sign is designed to send pedestrians in the right direction for several attractions in the area.
The other sample is on Elm Street at the Square, near the Fine Arts Theater. That sign is designed to help motorists.
The city planning department welcomes your feedback on the samples. Contact Ron Menguita at email@example.com.
