Crews will ground spray for mosquitoes in Lantana overnight Saturday, Sunday and Monday after two traps in that area tested positive for West Nile virus.
Denton County health officials announced the action late Friday. Spraying is expected to begin each night at 9 p.m. and end by 5 a.m., weather permitting. Residents are encouraged to bring pets in for the night and cover vegetables.
A detailed map of the streets to be covered is available on the county's website. More information on how to help control mosquitoes and limit exposure to the virus is also available on the website.
