11 a.m. to noon — A nature walk on the Vanishing Prairie Trail will be offered at the Johnson Branch Unit of Ray Roberts Lake State Park. Walk begins at kids’ fishing pond. Noon to 2 p.m. — Denton County Raiders Select Sports and Cheerleading Association fundraiser at Beth Marie’s Old-Fashioned Ice Cream, 2900 Wind River Lane. Coaches and board members will serve patrons. A portion of the earnings and all tips during the fundraiser will be donated to the association. Visit www.dcraiders.org.

1 p.m. — “Bats!”, a program at the amphitheater of the Johnson Branch Unit of Ray Roberts Lake State Park. Discussion will cover the benefits of bats, ways to handle bat-human conflicts, and safe ways to help bats. Bring sunscreen and water.
