Friends of the Family provides counseling services for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Toll-free, 24-hour support is available by calling 1-800-572-4031. Habitat for Humanity of Denton County is dedicated to eliminating poverty housing and is in need of volunteers to serve on the Family Support Committee. Also, volunteers are needed as family sponsors to mentor future homeowners. Woman to Woman Pregnancy Resource Center, a nonprofit organization, 1701 Broadway St., offers free pregnancy tests, pregnancy education and support; volunteer counseling on pregnancy, adoption and abortion; abortion recovery program and STI referrals.
