Most city and county administrative offices are closed today for the Fourth of July holiday. The Denton County Transportation Authority’s A-train is not running.
The Civic Center Pool, Natatorium and Water Works Park are open for regular hours.
As part of the city’s Fourth of July celebration, the Civic Center will open after the parade, from 10 a.m. to noon, for hot dogs, children’s games and other festivities. The Denton Senior Center will open for a luncheon from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Other recreation facilities and the Denton libraries are closed today.
No garbage, recycling or yard waste will be collected today, but the landfill will be open from 7 a.m. to noon. Wednesday’s trash route will be picked up Thursday, and Thursday’s route will be picked up Friday.

At Denton Airport, the airfield is open and the air traffic control tower, along with flight services, will operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
