Blotter: Police respond to family argument over burglary

Denton police responded to a Thanksgiving Day argument between a father and son in the 400 block of Mockingbird Lane on Thursday.

According to reports, a wo­man called and told officers her home had been burglarized a about 7 p.m. Thursday.

The woman said a Play­Station 3 game console, controllers and a game were stolen.

The father and son reportedly got into a fight over the burglary, police said.


Other reports

100 block of Avenue A — At about 1:30 a.m. Thursday, a police officer arrived on the scene to break up a fight.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, had cuts to his face and upper lip, police said.

Three people were reportedly arguing with the man. Police reports indicate the injured man refused medical attention.

A suspect was placed under arrest on a charge of assault with bodily injury, according to the police report.

1800 block of North Rud­dell Street — A woman in her 20s was a victim of a home burglary Thursday afternoon. 

According to police reports, the victim stated someone forcibly entered her apartment and searched through her kitchen and bedroom.

The woman had hundreds of dollars stolen that she had hidden in a shoe, police said. The case is still open and pending investigation.
