Blotter: Woman robbed, money taken

A 23-year-old woman was approached by a man who displayed a black handgun and grabbed $150 out of her hand shortly after 4:30 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of East Hickory Street, according to police reports.

After the suspect took the victim’s money, he walked off toward a drainage ditch near Bradshaw and East Hickory streets, reports stated.

Officers arrested the 49-year-old suspect and charged him with theft, police reports stated.

900 block of Regency Court — A burglar kicked in the front door of a house and took the kitchen sink, a garbage disposal and a water filter, the homebuilder told police Friday morning.

The builder told police the suspect caused $100 in damage to the front door and estimated the value of stolen property at $250, reports stated. No arrests have been made and a burglary of habitation report was completed.

2000 block of South Interstate 35E — A woman was arrested on shoplifting charges Friday night, according to police reports.

A store officer called police after he detained a woman. After an investigation, the 28-year-old suspect was arrested on a charge of theft over $50, police records show.
