Blotter: Property owner discovers graffiti on building

Police were called to the 500 block of Bryan Street on Monday morning after someone put graffiti on the west side of a building.

According to police reports, the building owner alleged someone entered his premises without his permission and used two colors of aerosol paint to cause damage to his property. At least $1,000 worth of damage was made, according to reports.

300 block of North Locust Street — Police report that someone broke into a coin-operated vending machine between 1 and 1:30 a.m. at an area business Sunday.

According to reports, a suspect broke into the machine by breaking off the front of the bill collector and then took all the cash from inside the cash box. The machine was located outside the business against the front of the building, stated the owner to police.

Surveillance video shows the suspect walked up to the machine and walked away three minutes later, reports show. The case is pending and no arrests have been made, according to police reports. The amount of cash taken was not listed.



From 7 a.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday:

•  Denton County sheriff’s dispatchers handled 650 service and officer-initiated calls. Forty-four people were booked into the Denton County Jail.

Carrollton police responded to 98 incidents from Monday, Feb. 4 to Sunday, Feb. 10, and 172 people were processed through the city jail during the same time period.

Argyle police responded to one gun shots heard call, one suspicious vehicle call, one terroristic threat report, one loose livestock call, 10 traffic calls and two welfare concerns.

Aubrey firefighters responded to one vehicle unlock, one disturbance call and one medical call. Aubrey police responded to one criminal mischief report, one road block and one traffic call.

Bartonville police responded to one missing person and three traffic calls.

Double Oak police responded to four traffic calls.

Hickory Creek police responded to one reckless driver, two agency assist calls, 12 traffic calls and one vehicle complaint.

Justin firefighters responded to one electrical fire and one grass fire. Justin police responded to one theft report.

Krum firefighters responded to one alarm fire, one medical call and one traffic incident. Krum police responded to one follow-up investigation, assisted one motorist, took one animal cruelty report and responded to six traffic calls.

Krugerville police responded to one road block and five traffic calls.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to seven medical calls and two traffic transports.

Little Elm firefighters responded to four medical calls, one carbon monoxide or hazmat call and one fire/smoke investigation. Little Elm police responded to one agency assist, two assault reports, one burglary report, two disturbance calls, one fire/smoke investigation, one follow-up investigation, one narcotics call and two theft reports.

Oak Point police responded to one burglary report, one criminal mischief report, two follow-up investigations, assisted one motorist and responded to one special patrol and one traffic call.

Ponder firefighters responded to two vehicle unlocks. Ponder police responded to one loose livestock call.

Pilot Point police responded to one follow-up investigation, one animal complaint and one theft report.

Sanger firefighters responded to two medical calls, assisted one citizen and responded to one unknown fire. Sanger police responded to one burglary report, one criminal mischief in progress, one unknown fire, one harassment report, one traffic call and one welfare concern.

Trophy Club firefighters responded to two medical calls and one vehicle unlock. Trophy Club police responded to 31 close patrol calls, one harassment report, one motorist assist call, six traffic calls and one animal complaint.
