Blotter: Woman reports attempted break-in

A woman told police that about five men holding weapons attempted to break into her home Saturday night in the 3700 block of Pockrus Page Road, according to a police report.

The woman told police that one of the men had a shotgun and the other men had pipes, according to the report.

The man with the shotgun was allegedly trying to kick down her door, the woman said.

The men failed in their attempts to enter the house and left the scene, the report stated. The woman gave police descriptions of the men and their vehicle, a silver Dodge Charger.

According to the police report, the officer found a vehicle matching the description and pulled the driver over.

The owner consented to a search of the vehicle and no weapons were found, according to the report.

The woman decided not to press charges and no arrests were made.

2200 block of South Interstate 35E — On Saturday evening, a fast-food restaurant employee called police and said he saw a person with a gun enter the building.

The employee told police that an unknown person entered the business with what appeared to be a firearm protruding from his waistband, according to a police report.

The employee told police that the man left the building after observing all of the employees behind the counter.

No arrests had been made at the time the report was filed.

600 block of East Hickory Street — A man reported at 3:04 p.m. Saturday that he fell victim to a case of identity theft.

The man told police that someone he knows stole his personal information to obtain student loans, according to a police report.

The officer collected some evidence, but no arrests had yet been made.
