Blotter: Report: Man hallucinates after taking medication

A man reported that after taking a prescription medication and drinking alcohol Saturday morning, he began to hallucinate, believing his roommates were trying to kill him, according to a police report.

The man called police from his apartment in the 700 block of Fort Worth Drive and told police that he wanted help.

After arriving, police met with him and reported that he was mentally disturbed and under the influence of some unknown narcotics, according to the report.

Police found two unloaded shotguns on the floor of the man’s bedroom.

The man agreed to go to a nearby hospital to be evaluated, according to the report. The man’s guns were taken to the Denton police station and placed into evidence for safekeeping.

800 block of West Eagle Drive — A police officer responded to a call regarding a woman who had overdosed Saturday afternoon, according to the officer’s report.

However, by the time the officer arrived to the woman’s location, she had gotten into her vehicle and driven away, according to the police report.

Officers located her and arrested her on a driving while intoxicated charge. While in the officer’s patrol car, she allegedly kicked out one of the side windows, according to the report.

The woman then was charged with criminal mischief, according to the report.

7500 block of Barrymore Road — A woman reported to police that her ex-husband violated a protective order Saturday morning, according to a police report.

The woman reported the alleged violation at the police station.

She told officers that her ex-husband continually writes her letters from his prison cell, which the protective order prohibits.

The officers collected the information and are investigating.
