Police seek man after alleged assault at UNT

University of North Texas police are on the lookout for a man after he allegedly assaulted a female student Wednesday afternoon.

The man, police said, is believed to be about 50 years old and is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, average to overweight and tan skinned. During the time of the incident, he was wearing blue/green shorts, no shirt with sunburned shoulders, a black baseball cap and tennis shoes.

Around 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, a female student was walking in the breezeway between Santa Fe and Traditions Hall toward West Prairie Street when she was assaulted by an unknown male, a news release from the department said.

Police said the suspect reportedly touched the student inappropriately before walking away from the area.
